Frequently asked questionsFrequently asked questions

What exactly does ai-werkers do?

ai-werkers builds AI tools for small and mid-sized companies in the Netherlands. Not an advisory report: we build a digital colleague that takes over your biggest time-waster, install it in your working process and stay until your team uses it.

How is ai-werkers different from other AI consultants?

We build it ourselves. Most AI consultants deliver a report and leave again; we deliver a working tool and stay on board for maintenance and further development. First result within a week, not after months.

What kind of companies do you work for?

For small and mid-sized companies of roughly 10 to 500 employees, with strong experience in automotive, B2B services, sales and administrative processes. Our approach is not tied to one sector.

What does it cost?

A project starts with a scan. After that you know what it costs and what it delivers, before anything is built. We work in phases with a go/no-go after each one, so you are never locked into a project that turns out not to work.

How long before something works?

The first pilot is running in your company within a week. An organisation-wide rollout through the WerktScan takes ninety days. Those are two different things: a working tool you have quickly, an organisation that structurally works differently because of it takes longer.

Do you also work outside Utrecht?

Yes, we work nationwide. Our home base is Utrecht, so we visit Utrecht and Amersfoort most often, but the rest of the Netherlands is no problem.

What if the AI says something wrong?

With every AI colleague that carries out actions on its own, you keep final control. When in doubt the AI always escalates to a person. In the first weeks somebody approves every decision; only once the accuracy is high enough does it run automatically.

What happens after delivery?

We stay on board. AI does not stand still, so neither do we: maintenance, further development and recurring training. A one-off project after which you are on your own is not our model.

Do we have to replace our existing software?

No. We build on top of what you already have. The bottleneck is usually not in your software but between two systems, at the point where a person is now retyping data.

Who owns the code you build?

You do. Code, data and access. We are not the kind of supplier you cannot get rid of.

Do you do custom work as well, or only those seven products?

Both. The seven products cover the bottlenecks we run into most often, but most of the work we do is custom: a link, an assistant or a tool that fits your process exactly.

What is GEO and why should I care?

GEO stands for generative engine optimization: being found in the answers of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity instead of only in Google. The difference is that an AI does not show ten blue links but one answer. If you are not in it, you get zero clicks.

Where is my data kept?

Hosting and storage take place within the EU. Where we do use an American service β€” signing in with your Google or Microsoft account, Anthropic's AI inside our tools, and the models SitePulse queries β€” we simply say so. Here you can see per service what runs where.
